Are You Interested? … meet singles through FUN online dating!

The other day, while chewing on a leftover bagel and sipping cold coffee, I brainstormed for a brilliant list of blog topics that would entertain and educate the fans of Are You Interested? I thought: why not dedicate our first topic to all the singles? If it wasn’t for the 14 million singles looking for new friends, flirting, dating or something more, Are You Interested? wouldn’t be what it is today. We dedicated a fan page update to the perks of being single, and asked our awesome fans to finish this sentence: “The best thing about being single is…” We had over 100 reasons why being single rocks! Here are the ones that stood out:

Faye F.: “Not having 2 shave my legs every 5 min!”

A number of Are You Interested? users mentioned personal hygiene and grooming as a perk. We love how being single means that you can do whatever you want, when you want, and where you want (or as some users pointed out… who you want o_O ). Take advantage now while you can make your own decisions regarding showers, shaving, eating, working, sleeping… and the list goes on.

Andrea T.: “i can star fish in bed”

Emilie S.: “Bein able 2 fart in bed!”

Ah yes, the powerful head rushing feeling of owning the entire bed. Cuddling and spooning is of course fun, but there are nights where you could be left without a blanket in a chilly room, or worse, crammed between the side of the bed and the wall. As a single, be grateful for all the space. You can stretch, roll, and toss and turn to your heart’s content without worrying about shifting the blanket or kicking someone by mistake…

Lauren T.: “Being able to flirt with whoever you want and not feel guilty about it.”

Flirting is fun. See a cute guy at a party? Think that girl is adorable? Thinking about clicking Yes on that profile? Don’t be shy and make a move! Why? Because YOU’RE SINGLE AND YOU CAN! It’s wonderful to be in love and in a long term relationship, but sometimes couples speak of their single days with longing and sadness. While they’re satisfied with their relationship, there are some things that they just can’t do anymore. But then again, the grass is always greener on the other side =)

Marietjie K. M.: “that you have been given another chance and that it could be even better than before. There are a big number of people to choose from and you can basically ‘shop’ for someone online without really committing yourself. When you have found the one you can take it to the next level.”

Id N.: “Being single is fun. you dont owe anyone an explanation 4 ur acts. you dont have to worry about anyone breaking ur heart. U just live ur live the way u want man!”

To some Are You Interested? fans, being single means fun, freedom, living the way you want, and taking advantage of their no-commitment status. There were many fans who lamented not being in a relationship, stating that love is a very important thing. We agree with you, and TRUST us, that time will come. Our users are obviously doing the right thing by searching on our online dating application and visiting our fan page to see what other users are thinking about (and even making some new Facebook friends!).

Sometimes love and romance may seem disheartening and confusing, but it’s a game we all have to play to find the right person. (And yes, there are Are You Interested? couples!) Until you do, why don’t you try using your time as an eligible single to have fun, make some new friends, reconnect with old ones, and go on a few dates? (P.S.
